Hitting children can cause bruises. Do you really want to put bruises on your child's body?

Check out their address (from 5:01) -- they're in WAPWALLOPEN! The town must be named after his disciplinary method. Couldn't be a more perfect location for this 'ministry.' No doubt there's plenty of wap-wallopin' going on around there.

Please do not listen to Tedd Tripp or read his books. He advocates hitting infants as young as 8 months old. Just because he is a Christian does not make him right.

In hebrews 12 there is a comparison being done between the carnal chastining of our flesh by our earthly fathers and the spiritual chastisment by our heavenly father. In verse 10 we see that the only one between the two that is profitable to the ones receiving it is that which comes from GOd. That which comes from our earthly fathers is not profitable to us but instead is done only to feed the pleasures of those that inflict it. This only "seems right to them" prov. 14:12

World- kindness is not a heretic. The rod in Proverbs is figurative and refers to pointing out lessons on a wall. This is a very common way that Hebrew expresses itself. A Jewish Rabbi who understands OT Hebrew and Jewish Customs has verified this. In Israel where the Sabbath is faithfully observed, corporal punishment is against the law at home and in schools. Hitting children can cause injuries. When we know the danger involved, we must avoid it. That's a Christian responsibility.

Thanks for sharing.
Brother Don
You should be informed that the majority of Peace Christians (Mennonites, Amish, Brethren, etc.) spank our children. Yet we are against real violence.
God Bless you!
