If you want to relax it if it's tense or before or show or something then before, and it's probably good stress releif for you too.
Afterward obviously to relax the horses muscles and the horse too, but if it was intense riding your arms would probably hurt like hell the next day lol

@LilMissAmyob I know you have to put a fare bit off pressure, its medium to strong, your soon know if your horse dose not like it :)
