Microbial Communities Initiative — Melding Technology, Experimentation, and Theory. PNNL-SA-69375, presented by Allan Konopka, PNNL Laboratory Fellow. Dr. Konopka describes PNNLs Microbial Communities Initiative. The MCI will will integrate biological/ecological experimentation, analytical chemistry, and simulation modeling to create transforming technologies, elucidate mechanistic forces, and develop theoretical frameworks for the analysis and predictive understanding of microbial communities.
