Aldebaran Robotics has developed a new charging station for the NAO humanoid robot that allows it to be completely accessible and useable while charging. @probableIMPOSSIBLITY It preforms tasks that are in its program. Its program tells it when it needs to be recharged and it has certain tasks it preforms to recharge itself. Pretty cool, but only able to do what you program it to do.

Seeing what I just saw, If it were to be left alone in an apartment all day, would it start act independently doing whatever and recharge by the time whomever has it comes back from work/class/whatever?

@Craydon Of course, the NAO is considering its battery level regarding to the distance and path to the charger to decide if it is time to charge or not.
