Quirky artpop and wordy weirdness. This animation music video was handmade by Mark Northfield over several increasingly late nights. Watch for hidden messages!

THE DEATH OF COPYRIGHT is taken from the album ALTERATIONS, released July 2nd 2012 as a CD and DD through Bandcamp and CD Baby, and also as a DD through the usual online suspects (emusic, iTunes, Amazon etc). The album is fully streamed on Soundcloud and Bandcamp with several tracks available as freebie downloads on Soundcloud, including this one.

THE DEATH OF COPYRIGHT is also the title track of a digital EP available through most online stores. In addition, the EP features:

A unique take on ABBA's THE DAY BEFORE YOU CAME (except on Bandcamp, where covers are forbidden - grrrr!)

HEADLONGING (STRETCHED OUT) an old skool extended version of another track from the new album, an instrumental version of which was used for the recent collaboration with choreographer David Greenall and students from Arts Ed, London. David's full 'Elements' piece can be seen on the 'collaborations' page of Mark's homepage listed above. The Elements:Fire/Headlonging section of it is also here on YouTube.

Lastly, it contains the 'almost-classical' album counterpart to the EP title track: THE FORECASTER. This song was a finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest 2011.
