Pakistani Journalists Living in Government Houses. http://chagataikhan.blogspot.com/2011/03/pakistani-journalists-living-in.html Many Journalists have been allotted government accommodation in Islamabad in violation of rules and regulations at highly subsidized rates. One wonders how they can be impartial in their reporting after taking such favours from the government. Watch this episode of Apna Gareban, as Matiullah Jan exposes the names of these Journalists and talks to some of them, who feel uncomfortable and shy in admitting their guilt. Guests: Rauf Klasra (Editor Investigations, The Tribune), Waheed Hussain (Anchorperson, PTV) and Sabir Shakir (Bureau Chief, ARY NEWS). List of journalists given plots in Islamabad Published: November 1, 2010 http://tribune.com.pk/story/70940/list-of-journalists-given-plots-in-islamabad/ Generous bonanza : One plot, two plot Published: November 24, 2010 http://tribune.com.pk/story/81020/generous-bonanza-one-plot-two-plot/ Journalists are no exception
By Rauf Klasra Published: November 1, 2010 http://tribune.com.pk/story/70724/journalists-are-no-exception/ The Express Tribune has already published two lists of 100 judges allotted plots in Islamabad since 1996. A total of 172 journalists were also allotted plots in keeping with government policy in G-13 and G-14. The policy stipulated that only those journalists who did not have a house in Islamabad nor had a plot allotted to them in the past could apply. Of the 650 journalists who applied in 2004 for G-14, only 172 could get plots after due process. Meanwhile, as a list of 172 journalists is lying before the PAC, a new one of 35 journalists has surfaced. These journalists were also given plots in G-8 Markaz in 1996 during Benazir Bhutto's second term. Some of the prominent journalists allotted plots for construction of flats in G-8 Markaz were Ayaz Amir, Hamid Mir, Aroosa Alam, Ehtashamul Haq, Nusrat Javed, Ishaq Chaudhary, and Nasir Malick. Mir, Haq and Alam have already sold their flats at a premium, after paying approximately Rs800,000 to the government.

@rwpla well perhaps u dont have the guts to face the mirror.......1good out ov 10 doesn't represent equal ratio of good n bad men; m sure u are good enough to fathom the point, our nation on the whole is a corrupt nation--1st we need to accept this fact n then device the ways to ameliorate this pathetic situation.....but if we are to behave like an ostrich; m afraid we wont get anywhere with that approach!

@ziabugvi yea nice excuse for keeping up with your own short comings. Get over the typical rants, we have bad and good people. Just because you dont see the good does not mean they dont exist. Improve yoruself.
