Dr. Greg Ogawa went from being a blood donor to a blood recipient in a very short time. Diagnosed with leukemia, he needed numerous transfusions of platelets and red blood cells during his chemotherapy treatments. "Not donating blood means there is one less unit of blood available for people who need it. It means they could die." He tells a story that could happen to any one of us.

  • what a shame Dr is soooooooo cute. too sad he had lukemia. transplant of bone marrow is better than suppression drugs. I hope you live forever. Beautiful person...

  • healthy adults can donate blood every 8 weeks, platelets 24 times per year, and plasma once a month. Have you saved a life lately? donating blood only takes approx 30 minutes from start to finish. You can do it on your lunch break even
