At the heart of violence is a lack of respect, based on an imbalance of power that isolates the abused. This Circle of Respect Video is a way to build awareness and build respect in a way that protects and lets us know we are not alone. The Circle of Respect is made of people, relationships, a circle of friends and community that you can count on. It protects you. (adapted from NCPC).
The Circle of Respect is a national initiative aimed at creating safer and more caring communities by changing cultural norms to increase more respectful behavior. To help prevent gang violence, we all need to contribute to the Circle of Respect for ourselves, our community, our understanding, and through our actions.
Make a pledge to do one thing today to demonstrate real respect.
