A MUST SEE. This struck Hundreds on Dailymotion. In the Winter of early 2005 (Jan or Feb) An Acela Express heads through Mansfield at slow speed. You'll see how the train cuts through the snow and that these Trains don't have a snowplow. My dad flimed the first scene, then I took over. Yes, it was cold, we were wearing heavy coats. Brrrrrr...

  • nice video

  • there goes your snow blower..felt sorry for the worker trying to clear the platform lol must have gotten another coating over what he cleaned up after that train passed

  • I think it's bucolic myself. I've never had trouble falling asleep on the old Amtrak stock, they shimmy side-to-side just enough to lull me off to Dreamland. Acela seating is too brightly lit and too open, that part I don't like about it.

  • @soshmed1 The "blobs" are part of the thematic graphics package, part of the branding and marketing efforts for Acela.

Agreed, totally stupid. They are abstract and almost random with no brand cache of their own. Years later, you see them after a while and think, "Oh right those stupid blobs that Amtrak uses for the Acela, d'oh!"

  • @Joeyran1819 "Mr. Soze, meet your party at Gate P, pergatory."

  • Trains must like the snow huh...

  • And like that...*blows* it's gone.

  • i love how so many people are commenting on here and its not even about the video talk about an ADD moment

  • I got cold just watching that. Great vid, thanks for sharing.

  • @soshmed1 I know that Amtrak has MOW service which they use only in dyer situations, however being from Chicago I'm not familiar with MBTA operations.
