USA, JAM battle in Visa Women's 4x100

The Visa women's 4x100m relay was equally exciting. Team USA had a slight lead at the first handoff, whenLisa Barber gave the stick to Allyson Felix. Running the second leg against the Olympic and World Outdoor silver medalist Kerron Stewart, Felix kept USA Blue in the lead. Miki Barber also maintained the lead.

It looked like a shaky handoff to Carmelita Jeter on anchor, but the #2 all-time 100m runner out-ran Olympic and world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser to get USA Blue to the line first in 42.74. Jamaica was second in 42.94. The USA Red team of Tiffany Ofili, Ginnie (Powell) Crawford, Rachelle Boone-Smith and Alex Anderson was third in 43.69.

  • Shelly Ann Frasier was not the best candidate to run the anchor leg, her strength is in her first half of the race, but her top end speed is not good enough for an anchor leg especially against Jeter, who was a slow start but incredible top end speed.

  • USA stand up !

  • i love the barber twins

    lllaawwdddd they so fine

they need to be running with their clothes off

  • @3:08 and 3:19 I love how they spend soo much time pulling down on their sugar shorts. Jeter is my baby.

  • @bhodgerrr That is true but the difference between this race and Berlin is that she ran anchor instead of 2nd leg. She really had no business matching up against Jeter when it comes to the anchor leg; that spot most likely belongs to Kerron Stewart or Veronica Campbell-Brown. In this race Allyson Felix second leg is what made the USA Blue stand out in this race and could've been worse if their wasn't a problem with the exchanges between Miki Barber and Carmelita Jeter. Fraser should've ran 2nd.

  • @TheMadBlackGamer I know her strength is her start but when she ran in Berlin in '09 on 2nd leg she killed! No doubt she ran like she was the reigning world and Olympic champion in the 100 because she had little competition. She was simply scared of Jeter because of her intimidating speed and she let up instead of battling.

  • @bhodgerrr I'm guessing you are one of those people that cares a lot ABOUT grammar when it comes to the internet. Her 10.73 PR speed did show but her top end speed is no match for Carmelita Jeter and Shelly-Ann Fraser shouldn't have ran the anchor leg against her anyway. At this juncture, it is OBVIOUS that you don't know anything about track. If you did, then you will take to consideration that Shelly-Ann Fraser victories comes most likely from her starts and not her top end speed.

  • @TheMadBlackGamer You must not know A LOT about grammar. But it is true that she is the best starter in the world but no matter if she runs any station , her 10.73 PR speed should show.

  • @bhodgerrr -__- You must not know alot about Track.

  • @minimecxz you fool, he's right about everything he said. and asafa is a far better anchor

  • @vhickerson Felix and Sanya ......sexy, tall, fast, chocolate girls. Now thats "Blue TeamUS"
