The all-time best-version of this song, highlighted by the ever delightful whimsy inherent in Parker Gibbs' voice. The band really swings on this perfect arrangement and performance, which reached #7 on the U.S. hit parade in 1929. Note that is impossible to listen to this and not feel euphoric. Only bad thing about it -- it ends!

When she was a little girl in the '20s, my grandmother was a radio singer on some local stations here in Philadelphia- this is one of the songs she used to sing around that time, so I always think of her when I hear it. But she passed away a couple of years ago, so I cry when I hear it now..

in a way you should post up 2 versions, one with surface noise and one without, call the surface noise "alternate version"

Thanks. I used an ION USB Turntable which can connect directly to the computer and I used Audacity to smooth out the crackles and pops.
