Before we begin, I would like to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for my life, and all the gifts which I've been given in it, including the ability to make this extension. Your name be glorified, my Savior, even in something as small as this. Amen.

I.. bid you..... welcome! Yes, welcome to Amateur Extension Theater 2000; I, your quirky title-dropping, sparkle loathing host Alkahest would like it known that he ain't afraid of no vampires. Cockroaches, that's another story...

Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters was originally a Japan-only Arcade fighting game, which finally made it to other shores by way of the Mega Man Anniversary Collection. Quite a fun little game, it gave you the option of playing Mega Man, Protoman, Bass and Duo, with the objective of stopping the insidious Dr. Wily! For added replay value, Wily's three agendas of EVIL would determine which foes you would face on your path to his latest and greatest Skull Fortress / Skull Car / Skull Electric Toothbrush.

Here we have the theme of Shade Man, a vampiric themed Robot Master from Mega Man 7. According to Megaman.wikia.com's entry on Shady, he "originally was an attraction robot from the haunted house of an amusement park, but was stolen and modified for combat by Dr. Wily. Wily installed sound wave equipment intended to control human minds, but due to a wiring error, it instead generated powerful destructive sound waves that are used as a weapon called Noise Crush. Shade Man likes dark places and to hang on ceilings, and although he's based on a vampire, he fears ghosts and spiders. He wants to be a singer and practices hard to improve his poor singing voice, to the point that he's always with a microphone. "

Aww. Poor Shade Man, he's not such a bad guy after all. Just reprogrammed that way! Darned Wily, ruinin' perfectly good, eccentrically designed robots like that, to further his own nefarious schemes. Hrmph. See if I ever extend any of -his- theme music! ... no, the boss tune from Mecha Dragon doesn't count.

Well, we're in for an interesting week here. We'll see if I can maintain my momentum. Coming up next: Moon fanatics over Final Fantasy VIII, and the horrors of Wild Arms 2 puzzle boxes! After that... who knows? Heheh. Hope you enjoy, friends.
