@jravell @jravell LVAD stands for Left Ventricular Assisting Device(? spelling) it's a device which kept Denny Duqette alive while he was waiting for a new heart(it was helping kept his heart beating).Izzie cut the wire so he would be sick enough to be moved up on the transplant list,back in the Season 2 finale -just in case you haven't found out in the meantime :)

Damn, these are the core 5. I love all of them. George, Izzie, Alex, Meredith, Cristina. They make an awesome team, with like, a mixture of heart, comedy, arrogance but intelligence, and strength. =( Not Avery and April.

Thank you sooooooo much. I've been searching for that excerpt for some time! I ADORE the passage with Cristina. It touches me so much. It is what so many of us do : we try to come back to a previous "better" state, and we want to become like someone else who seems "better", who is out of reach of some common human pain, or who can anyway lead itself even with it, like the strong one, the bold one, the super hero one. And then we quit loving ourselves. And that is so sad! <3
