I have bought John's Harp Book, about 24 of his music CD, 2 brginning Harp Teaching DVD, the Teaching DVD of Mi Despedido ( a fair beginner's song for Harp) and 1/2 of a Paraguayan Harp. I endorse them all.

John brings to teaching his experiance of studying Harp in Paraguay and more than half of the songs he has learned are Paraguayan or Latin American. John builds all of the Harps that he plays (also Mir built her own Harp as shown above); each Harper building his own Harp is also a Paraguayan characteristic. Paraguay has more Harps than TV sets. The Harps the John builds and the kits he sells have a strong Paraguayan influence.

John is a good harp teacher and I would like to sellect him for my Harp teacher, except he lives 600 miles from where I live. I have been asking John to experiment with Distance Teaching over the Internet.

Re Learn to Play ...

For anyone wanting to learn to play Harp, two things are needed; a harp and a Harp teacher. It is harder to find a Harp teacher than it is to find a Harp.
