Why didn't he just land a few feet further forward and lower the nose gear on the road?

awsome.. tilted the rotor slight forward up lift and making the two landing gears in the rear as anchors. now wounder if could do that on a simulator :P

@ziofb i suppose it occurred something like optical illusion because road level is not correlate with ground level. car incident can caused by same reason.

@RobotN001 The AW 139 does the hover with positive pitch because its mast is tilted forward more than in other helicopters,at least i guess.
