@13NancyN13 No - Amy Irving's brother is David Irving, the director. Her mom played the queen and her stepfather played the Miller. The prince, however, is no relation.

I remember when the movie was shot in Israel, the kissing scene by the pond was shot in the botanical gardens of Hayarkon park in Tel aviv (they put the statue and the stone wall there just for the movie).

My sister and I happened to be in the park at the time of the shooting, and we quietly peeked through the gardens' fence as it was shot.

It was so exciting for us we went to see it twice in the cinema when it came out.

It's amazing, the Queen in all her conniving ways to get Katie(Katy?) proven wrong, doesn't notice the ring missing nor the necklace the girl was wearing the first night. I understand not seeing the ring, but the necklace? Excuse the we todd for her fail plz.
