Finally! We get the Honda Radio install finished. Here we add the Bluetooth module for hands free cell phone use. Thanks for being really patient.

  • Jesus man, this should have taken you 2 hours at most to do! Get self tapping screws man.. Everyone, please go to professionals, that's why they are trained.. To not break your vehicles.

  • Did I break something? I am a ASE L1 Master Tech btw. well anyway, Good Job super tech, I am very proud of ya! I hire you instead next time you do good work.

  • Remember when you took off the side panel by pressing in the small button and the pin came out? How do you get that pin back in, and get the middle to push back out to lock position?

  • Ok, push the button onto a flat surface to push the tit back in, and you may have to push it out all of the way using a screw driver, to get it back in to have to try to push the tabs back in to get it to fit in the hole, you could always try to use a piece of scotch tape to try to hold the fingers of the button in, just make sure the tit "the inner part of the button" is all the way out before trying to stick it in. Good luck!

  • I did an install with a similar trim kit, made by Metra. My stereo, came with a Scosche 2CD pocket kit, but the mounting instructions don't make any sense, (no way to mount DIN sleeve securely). The metra kit has a few flaws. it doesn't sit flush with the dash, or the stereo. There is a gap around the new head unit, if not careful, you can stick a CD inside the dash, instead of in the unit. I'm working on a good solution to this. Mounted mine using both screws...sits further back in dash.

  • I used the Metra 99-7897 kit, you retain the factory storage pocket. It was only 20 bucks, I highly reccomend it. We originally had another kit that wad a very small replacement pocket and it just looked really odd in the dash, this looks good, not as good as factory IMHO but good.

  • Hire a professional= bend over and grab your ankles. The cost of them installing it was more than the cost of the radio I put in myself ($130 radio; $140 instal @ Best Buy for an hour + parts). I paid $15 for the parts and read the install instructions. I'm tired of being raped by "professionals" BTW, that word "professional" reminds of the car park scene in Ferris Bueller... professional what? Thanks for taking the time to make the video... cheers!

  • Nice job bro i'm wanting to get back into car stereo

  • @sebbienooch you are a troll!

  • I used an adaptor harness and a JVC head unit. I swapped my deck from my 04 coupe to my 03 sedan and now it's not working. Is there a difference between the harnesses used between the 03 and 04? I know there are differences between 01-03 and 04-05, but not sure if that's one of them...

  • HEY I MAYY BE LATE ! LOL .. BUT CAN U PLZ DO A VIDEO REVIEW THE RADIO ! . u never showed us how the radio wrks .. etc thanks !

  • My Gawd.. i this a joke?? its a freakin radio.. how is this taking 3 videos.

  • Hi, I saw all three of your video on installing stereo system for Civic 04. Nice vids and thanks for sharing.

There is one thing I noticed. In the original stereo system, there is an anti theft light. However, for the aftermarket stereo, there is no such light. How do you deal with that light? Did you just unplug and leave it unplugged for the new stereo system?

    Thanks

  • im glad im not the only one thats driven crazy by rattles if its a rattle like a wrench in my cuphlder it doesnt bug me because i know i can easily stop it but if it was like a lose thing behind my dash in my truck i would go crazy cool stereo though my dad has a kenwood it sounds great

  • @sebbienooch Douche lol...who cares how long it took him, video time was like 20-30 min. Some people have lives and dont feel like doing this kind of thing for hours straight.

  • GREAT VIDEO MAN!! Dont listen to all the haters... you did a good job with the video and a good job with the install... thanks for actually trying to help others.. unlike many ppl (aka HATERS)... I have an 11' Accord and am installing some subs in it.. will make a video and post it!

  • If it were me, I would've bailed on the onboard Bluetooth idea, and just kept using an earpiece. I just dropped a Sony xPlod setup in my 04 Civic, and even had somewhere to run the iPod hookup (on the side of the center console). That stereo's better for your whole "paying attention to the road" thing, since it has a handheld remote
