Polly Scattergood - Remove All Traces

I decided to make a video to accompany a lesser known song by Polly Scattergood called "Remove All Traces" which was included on the "Please Don't Touch single.

I will try to explain the concept of the video as best as I can, but I also want you the viewer to make your own interpretation also.

The Video is basically a journey of change, and there is a theme of circles throughout the video, because circles don't have a beginning or an end and go round forever. Life has a habit of going full circle.....and I see this as a kind of metamorphosis from birth to death!

It shows a conflict between a natural, magical world and a digital, scientific world. It also represents the natural journey of a failed relationship from beginning to end.

There are three chapters to the video. The first chapter represents newness and purity, where the second has a red filter symbolically representing anger, frustration, betrayal, and total breakdown.
The final chapter in this video begins with the image of the world spinning. This symbolizes rewinding back to the beginning and going through a healing process, where you have to Remove All Traces to find yourself again and return to that blissfull place, just like The Wizard Of Oz.

There are a few Kate Bush references in there too...but I will let you spot them!!

This video is dedicated to two people..
Firstly to Polly for giving me pleasure with her music and handing me a passport , allowing me to travel into her imagination and fantasies!
Secondly to Michael Jackson who tragically died prematurely yesterday. A man who gave magic to the world and inspired a generation to live your dreams..
