  • Does It Matter If Southern Or Northern?

    New Kid ^_^.

  • @41cookiesbabe No, it doesn't matter at all ^_^. Everyone still can understand you clearly without caring that your accent is Southern or Northern. Not really a big different though ^_^.

  • @o0oNyto0o Umm. What I Meant Was, Is It Okay To Mix Up The Northern && Southern Words Or Are They All The Same Or What?

Whats The Difference Between The Northern Language and The Southern Language?

  • @41cookiesbabe Actually, all of the words are almost the same, except for some minor words, but not really important. But, everyone still can easily understand you regardless of which words you use. You will know once you get used to Vietnamese ^_^. The difference between the Northern and Southern is dialect or accent and some difference in words (but not really many). Almost of every words are the same. So, don't worry too much about it.

  • @o0oNyto0o

Thank you and I'll ask any questions I don't understand. :]

  • @kimikitn Thanks a lot ^_^. Whenever you have any questions, please feel free to ask me ^_^. Good luck on your studying ^_^.

  • Cam on rat nhieu Yen for your lessons! =] I am Vietnamese born American I can speak Vietnamese, but not so well with reading and writing and I want to learn more on reading and writing in Vietnamese. ^^

  • @DarkenEU3 You're very welcome ^_^. Thanks ^_^. Good luck on your studying ^_^

  • Thanks for explaining, that makes sense now. Yes, once I learn enough, it will help alot to be able to practice with them.

  • @DarkenEU3 Now, for the word QUA. You simply just see QU as a normal consonant like the others. So, I hope it won't bother you anymore ^_^. Congratulation to have friends to practice with you ^^. It's really great ^_^. Hope you have a great day ^_^.

  • @DarkenEU3 Actually, Qu is NOT a combined sound. As you see, ch is a combined sound because c and h can stand by itself. For example, cậu, hoa, cha. However, q can NOT stand by itself as I already said in the lesson ^_^. So, you will not see any word begins by just q. It has to be qu. So, whenever you see the word begins with q, for sure you will see the letter u comes after it. So, you should remember that q never comes alone. It always has to be QU.

  • Is Qu a combined sound? I got confused a bit in the lesson 4 with spelling the word Qua in video 2/7.

So far I am doing ok, its just a lot to learn. Good thing is that I have friends who speak vietnamese to practice with when i need to.
