It really brings out the loneliness of the Doctor, he's always there, always alone, seemingly cursed to spend eternity watching people move on and away.
You made me cry twice in the same day, not fair... and now I'm poetic as well...

i think the doctor is more human then a lot of people. he's so lonely and so scared and so sad. but he holds onto tomorrow like it's the only thing keeping him going. he's amazing. doctor who forever
