Create Working Hinge Sounds for Sidekick Themes on Macs

This is a tutorial on how to create working hinge sounds for themes on Mac OSX, but certain parts of the tutorial can be used on PC too! Follow the tutorial, and I guarentee that it will work!
Tutorial on how to create and add hinge sounds easily with Mac OS X (Panther, Tiger, Leopard) for Sidekick 3, LX, and Slide themes. This uses Garageband and iTunes, both applications are standard on most OS X builds. If you experience any problems (which you shouldnt) feel free to comment. Hope this helps. If you want to just copy and paste what you need for the text file, here it is:
sound system-hinge-open-sound open.mp3
sound system-hinge-close-sound close.mp3

Be sure that the files are short and sweet (less than 100 kb) That is why I tell you to change the kb per second configuration.

Try watching the video in high quality. Also, if you are familiar with your Mac, you should know whats going on anyways.

okay, so i admit this video was really helpful, i have tiger and it helped alot... but when i rename the file and put it in the theme it still doesnt work...even when i add "sound system-hinge-open-sound system-hinge-open-sound.mp3" into the theme text...its driving me nuts... HELP PLEASE

It should only say this in the theme text file:

sound system-hinge-open-sound open.mp3

sound system-hinge-close-sound close.mp3

And you should name the open hinge open.mp3 and the close hinge close.mp3

Thats not particularly the point of this video... But you can use the knowledge from this video and apply it to your PC, and then figure out how you can use the functionality the same.
