[skate.] Demo Highlights

Just some lines and bails recorded using the new demo of Skate by EA.

To anyone who says this game isn't as good as the Tony Hawk series, or that it's just bad in general either hasn't played the demo or was terrible at it. Same goes to everyone who says it's "exactly the same." There are so many differences between games it's unreal.

There's tons of room for a new skating game on the market, and this fills the gap of a real skating game perfectly. The Tony Hawk series started off so well with the Pro Skater games, but since then they've been a joke and shown very little improvement (only a few steps back if anything)...

The Tony Hawk games will always be around, but they'll always be unrealistic and arcadey, which is fun for a while but get's boring after days sometimes. If you want a real skating game, get Skate.

if you havent beaten that...your pathetic...thats the easyest shit ever to do.....720 quad kickflip indy's get you like 2200-2800 points...then the next big ramp just to like a 720-900(if you can) kick flip late flip...and you'll romp that shit

Just do like a Christ Front flip when going down the ramp and when you launch off, do a nollie Quad Kickflip 720. Then do anything good when you go back up the ramp at the end. I do that on the first round and bail the rest and win. lol

flips and jesus christ airs score you points. combo with those and its easy landslide wins every time.

Weird you mentioned that, I literally just did it a couple of days ago. Took a few goes and the scoring seems completely random, but it's doable. It starts off fun but that soon wears off. :p

My thoughts exactly. I loved THPS, but THPS2 was my favourite. Skate gave the skating genre what it needed. I don't think I've played it as much as the early Tony Hawk games, but it's still really good.

Yeah there are tons of skate games.... you can aswell say that tony hawk is a skate or die rip-off if skate is a tony hawk rip-off i myself think skate is tons better than tony hawk.... compared to tony hawk its reality tony hawk is so damn unreal... here you cant grind for 2 hours in a roundel. in skate you can grind maaybe..... 100 feet max. in tony hawk its 999999999999 feet.... but i still love the tony hawk series! i still like skate's reality better.

How is it a Tony Hawk rip-off? Because they're both skateboarding games? They're in the same genre, but they're completely different. It seems hard at first, but once you get into the flick-it controls it's so much better.

But fair enough if you don't like it.
