Dustin Hoffman and John Malkovich are at least twice as good as this

Its one thing to read the play. It another to see it. This was amazing, even if at points a little over-dramatic (mostly the end)

This is what happens if Aunt May married Willy Loman and Biff never became Spiderman...

Lee J. Cobb and Dustin Hoffman were both brilliant, I thought. Very different in their approach to the character, but equally fine and very moving. And both Cobb and Hoffman were robbed by not receiving Tony Awards -- particularly egregious in Cobb's case as he created the role and the play won all the other major awards that year. In Hoffman's case I heard it had more to do with him refusing to do more than six performances a week, so that snub was likely politically motivated.

he is not bad i think he is up there with lee j cobb
I love this so much. His accent wanders a bit, but Iain Glen gets my vote for best screen Biff.

God, I really love this version. Far better than Hoffman, just next to Brian Dennehy (neither is better or worse, just alternate). Thanks so much for posting---how can I get a copy of this whole show? BBC?
