  • Bananas are actually very healthy for horses. Most fruits are good for them, just be sure to remove pits. Seeds are fine. They can eat grapes, plums (remove pits), peaches (remove pits), apricots (remove pits) and many vegetables. Obviously in moderation! Oh, and a very healthy way to aid in weight gain is BOSS (Black Oil Sunflower Seeds). About 1 cup per day or whenever possible in their supplements is very healthy as well as high in Phosphorous-a healthy mineral. Enjoy!

  • is there any fruit tht is bad for a horse?

    lol

cuz ive seen a bunch of vids with all these diff fruits....

i mean as long as the fruit doesnt hav seeds....?

  • Most fruits are very healthy for horses, just no pits. Bananas especially are very healthy due to the potassium; it helps them with electrolytes.

  • @elinheartstristin no prob. In the south the choke cherries are all over the place, and we recently chopped down and got rid of the ones near our horse pastures. The leaves have a teardrop shape and the stems of the leaves are tinted cherry red.

  • @theKrystalcharm k. thanks. thats a lot of info, but good.
