these two were among my favourite characters and yeah it's a great relationship they have, the contrast between their personalities played wonderfully. HBO fucked up big time not commissiong more or at least those movies mulch wanted to make Because this, the sopranos and the wire (all hbo shows) are the best shows ever, for me at least.

I really fell sorry for Utter's character... he consistently tries to help her (and tried to help bill) and got fucking nowhere. What a martyr complex he has to have, to attach himself to smart but incredibly self-destructive people... and not understand. +a billion to the series, to Weigert, and to Dickens, and to Calie.

This is my favourite relationship development on this show. I've been watching the seasons through and I find myself fast-forwarding to all their scenes together lol.

I'll have to go back and watch the whole series again.

Yeah this takes me back ... really does. I remember being entranced with this series and even more so when Jane and Joanie's relationship began to develop. I loved this scene most of all, and was so dissapointed at the open ending.
