Glenn Bengtsson sings Fyra visor i svensk folkton by Peterson-Berger in Helsingborg 2009

Swedish Church Singer and barytenor Glenn Bengtsson sings the song cycle Fyra visor i svensk folkton (Four Swedish songs in folklore-style) by Wilhelm Peterson-Berger, at a lunch-hour concert in the Allhelgona Church of Helsingborg, Sweden, on April 22nd 2009, with pianist Olof Tholander. The cycle contain (1) När jag för mig själv i mörka skogen går (When I walk alone in the dark forest); (2) Ditt namn jag hade skrivit (Thy name I had written); (3) Som stjärnorna på Himmelen (Like the stars in Heaven); and (4) Bland skogens höga furustammar (Among the high fur trees of the forest). They tell us about long lost love, desertion, grief and a glimpse of hope to be together in a cottage among the fur trees.
