Every Place in San Francisco is a project that explores "space" and "place" relationships in a particular human landscape.
This installment explores geographical myth created and shaped by the linear time of recorded documents. The video sources are gathered from an unpredictably malfunctioning camera and combined with readymade audio derived from stretched tape or digitally corrupted sources.
The landscape is presented as a mythological form delineated by the camera's optics. The result transforms an otherwise mundane set of park and buildings images into something lightly horrific and mysteriously over dramatic. Not my initial intention but when everything was dropped together that became the result.
