The quick release design is easy to operate with a smooth, easy release. Even with a heavy load on the tip -- big fish or little fish -- simply grab the rod in front and behind the holder and pull straight up and your rod is free and you are fighting the fish. The innovative design allows the angler to lift the rod straight up in one fluid motion, without any disruption to the line or interference from the holder.

Depending on space, as well as where and how you mount the rod holder, it can be adjusted horizontally 360° in 12 separate steps at 30° each. Vertically, the rod holder can be adjusted up to 180° in 8 separate intervals at 22.5° each you can attain many other angles with the adjustment discs.

• Clam-shell design holds your fishing rod securely and releases it extremely quickly and
smoothly.
• Advantage Rod Holder will hold rods with handles up to 1½" diameter.
• Cutouts in the holder accepts rods with finger grips.
• Positively locks in your gear when needed, quickly and easily with our push-pull locking knob.
• Positive locking bases mean no movement whatsoever. Our bases accept many other
manufacturers' gear as well.
• Made of non-corrosive materials for years of reliable use.
• Made of fiber-reinforced materials, so it's virtually impossible to break.
• Virtually eliminates any struggle to release your rod from the holder.
• Built around bait cast reels -- when using a spin cast design we recommend locking it.

  • Where did you get the aluminum piece mounted to the gunnel?

  • @TheCoppertop2 The big gunnel clamps are custom made prototypes and most likely wont see production.

  • How much do they cost? Are they made out of cheap plastic, or like, metal? Or wood?.. Be honest.

  • @Honeebuket Hi, our products are made of good quality marine grade plastics with stainless hardware and are built to take abuse and last for many years of use! Folbe's are MADE IN USA and are fully warranted!

  • Cool idea- doubt they'd work for Salmon fishing, but they sure would work well for 'eyes.

  • @markeyjames22 They work great for any trolling or drifting situation, Salmon, Musky, Stripers, they work great!

  • Folbe's are by far the best salmon rod holder I have ever used. We bought our first one this year to fish the Columbia river for fall kings. We originally had Fish-ons on the last boat, then went with Scotties on the new boat, then back to Fish-on's. However, after trying a folbe this fall, there will be 4 more added for a total of 5 rod holders.... Get the optional cams for the tilt though. That was always the drawback of the Scotties.

  • BUT WHERE DID YOU GET THE METAL/PLASTIC WIDE CLAMP THAT IS MOUNTED TO THE GUNNEL? OTHERWISE, THIS ROD HOLDER IS USELESS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE A WIDE GUNNEL? MINE IS ABOUT 4 INCHES OR SO WIDE. CAN'T SEEM TO FIND A CLAMP LIKE YOURS. HELP ME..ELEAL1@YAHOO.COM

  • ‎2/11/11 Jessie, I Used the Elite rod holders while on trip to Florida. Fished lake tafford and limited out each day. The rod holders worked great and were easy to assemble and mount. I also used the boat in the gulf. Brother hooked up with about a 80 lb goliath grouper while in the rod holder and it did just great (Did twist the rod while under the load-ok afterward) I feel good about these and know they will last the life of the boat. Thanks for a great product at a reasonable price. Ray Evert

  • I was on the Kenai not too long ago,and I disagree

  • @toddpeterson74 The Rod holder is made in Washington state for Salmon and is one of the most popular rod holders on the Kenai river with guides now.
