Brendel never ceases to amaze me

Alfred Brendel is not only a great interpreter of Beethoven and Schubert, but a deep and delicate interpreter of Liszt. His "Années" are insuperable. It is a pity that the third year -so far as I know- has not been recorded by him. It is a pity too that the great Maestro Arrau hadn't recorded this cycle. Danke schön, herr Brendel.

I respect Liszt but I don't like most of his pieces... I can't understand them. I played consolations nº 1 and 2 one year ago and I think they're beautiful but I can't stand his concerts for piano and his studies.
