A normal oil change is a little under 15 qts with a new filter on a DI motor. Hence the reason ford sells the diesel in 5 qt jugs.....

how many quarts of oil does it take to do an oil change on this truck? do you have to add any between oil changes?

6-10 maybe?
normally u dont have to add any if ya do uve got some loose rings

It holds about 16 quarts. Yeah, it's pretty big, but the engine holds it's heat for a long time in the winter. No, we don't add any between oil changes, it doesn't seem to consume any oil.
