  • Can you tell us which Ricercar this is? And who made your lute? Wonderful sound, thank you!

  • @xvirgomoonx This is number 3 and the lute was made by Christopher Doddridge.

  • That sounds nice.

Do you record albums or anything?

  • Thank you. I hope to record an album in the future.

  • Very nice

  • Thank you

  • If you listen to Valéry Sauvage(luthval) you can clearly hear the difference. He plays a 6 course lute, I think he uses octavestrings on the 4th, 5th and 6th course. It gives the music(not the same recercar), as you say, another resonance.

    Thank you for the comment.

  • lovely .... I am learning this one - on guitar ;-) Would there be much difference in the 'feel' of the piece if you played on 6 rather than 10 course lute? a gentler resonance I guess?

  • Yes, you are right. It,s a question about money, but I hope to buy a 6 or 7-course lute in the near future. Thank you for the nice words.

  • Beautiful! Very nicely and sensitively played, but shouldn't it be done on a 6-course?
