In 1914 Guglielmo Marconi built a wireless station in Chatham Cape Cod that would go on to become the busiest ship to shore station in the Northern Hemisphere. With this he took the initial flash of genius with the first transatlantic transmittion and created the business of wireless communication that is at the heart of today's radio, cell phones, and satellite transmissions. A Mooncusser Film narrated by Walter Cronkite, produced by Barbara Cotnam, directed and edited by Christopher Seufert. See more project samples at http://www.MooncusserFilms.com

  • you though wrong, although all the U.S media are trying to convince the world of it, there is no evidence or any document that proves it. It would be like if i start claiming that Edison stole from Tesla the invention of light bulb.

This is just fucking U.S propaganda against Marconi because he was fascist, U.S already stole the Meucci's invention of telephone attributing it to Bell, and so did with many others. When will U.S stop doing it?

  • @TheZorroStudio Tesla is just the most overrated man in the history of science!!

AC motor had already been invented by Galileo Ferraris, his wireless transmission just a rough capacitive coupling, he had no relationship with phone invention....try to study before to say bullshit!!! Radio has many fathers but Marconi was the only one acheive succesful radio transmission. He is the true father of radio!!

  • Hey JusP, Edison invented the lightbulb in 1879. Tesla didn't come to the US untill 1884. Edison had never heard of Tesla until Tesla walked into Edison's office with a letter of introduction. The bulb had been glowing for 5 years at this point. How did Edison steal it from Tesla? Might want to get your facts straight before you go accusing.

  • edison was a genius of some other kind than the "weird professor in his lab". He could combine ideas, and develop marketing strategies. lightbulb plus power station was his success.

  • @TheZorroStudio electric light was not invented by edison but by some emigrated german - h. goebel-who had the idea of vacuum bottles with charred cotton inside to light his shop window in new york ( 1853) what he did not have was the standarized thread of edisons lightbulb and the concept of electric light plus power stations. his neighbors complained against the brightly lit shop and he had to take the lights out. in 1893 he won a lawsuit against edison but died the same year.

  • Tesla invented everything... AC, radio, phone, wireless, all these people stole Tesla's patents. Tesla even made a first bulb and was never credited for none of them. Tesla was a true genius. Tesla was about to become an Earth greatest discoverer but others hate and jealousy and money took over and stole Tesla's discovery's.

    Tesla Forever

  • Guglielmo Marconi

  • We are at a time in history 100 years down the track where the excitement of Henry Ford and his Motor Car, Alexander Graham Bell, Guglielmo Marconi, Thomas Edison and his wonderful inventions & others that paved the development of the 20th Century has been reinstalled into the hearts and minds of those engaged in the development of technology passing into the 21st Century.
