i dont think the book is too horribly sad....
it actually helped me when i was struggling with some pretty severe depression, made me feel like i wasnt alone in my problems. I guess it depends on how you look at it.

It's all thanks to R. Crumb, who pretty much started the whole indie comics thing. Depressed emotional states and inappropriate/gross humor were pretty much all his comics were about!

And also a bit like Eric Wareheim of "Tim & Eric" fame.

I think that Lev's stories are funny, but I guess they're depressing.
