RCA master BS 046019-1, rec. New York, December 19 1939.
Babs Ryan, Charlie Little, and Melvin Little (voc) with Hal Kemp's orchestra.
Although originally co-written by Carmen Lombardo and recorded by his brother Guy, this was also quite a hit for Hal Kemp, who had to thank his vocalists for that. The trio, formerly known as "Babs and her Brothers", often sang for more than half the length of a recording and gathered their own following quickly. They recorded without Kemp, too, but many of the titles that sound the most promising are not too common. So, if anyone of you has a copy of "The beautiful buxom barmaid", I'd love to hear it.
Carmen Lombardo was a MALE! The Lombardo brothers were Guy, Carmen, Lebert and Victor.

Oops! Thanks for correcting this - I didn't know that Carmen is possible for both sexes.
