It's summer time! While you are enjoying the sun and vacation, don't forget to practice your digital illustrating skill!

In this illustration, I will show you the complete process from the conceptual draft to proportion draft, outlining, coloring, refining details, until finalizing the artwork. I will also give you some tips on how I develop my illustration skills. You will also learn specific techniques like how to draw water drops on human body, how to create the wet look of body and clothing, etc.

In short, enjoy the video! Let me know in the comment if you like it or find it helpful in improving your digital drawing skills. Till next time!

  • Hey!

First of all, good job, all of your drawing are so beautyfull ! I think this one is my favourit...

I've watched all of your video many times, I love the way you blend the colors. I've tried to make my own blender, but nothing good finally... Which brush do you use ? I mean, I can see it's a presonal brush, but is there a tips / specific brush or configuration you use to have a blender like the one you use on this (and your previous) drawing ?

Again, very nice works dude ! ;)

  • @Lenna085 Try "Just Add water". My customized brushes are mostly based on the default ones, just with very little change to fit my own drawing habits (pressures, spacing, etc), so, they won't be that different from yours...

  • Oh sorry, completely forgot that you use a Wacom Intuos3 ^^;. But i would like to know which size you use, if you really don't mind at all :)

  • @TetsuyaSantos Thank you for the info, I tried it but it runs still not as smooth as X. Then I disabled the Brush Ghost and the program crashed lol. I don't need a new version that badly, though :)

    My tablet is a 6x11 Intuos 3.

  • What program do you use to record the video? :). Ur drawings are full of fantasy and the colors are grate

  • @bigbentree you're back, better than ever :D can you please inform us, which settings your brushes/pencils have, because they are just awesome, they cannot be compared to mine... i feel, like i cannot draw without them ._.

i would buy your course, but your site is offline >_<

  • @bigbentree hey, you know tha corel painter 12 is actually doing that for all macs in general; but, if you go to your patches and updates there is a (and only one) patch for mac PC's that should get it to run a lot smoother. I can vouch that I really like corel painter now (bought corel 11...yeah bad idea) and since then, it has been a blast ive been considering actually replacing my painting methods with photoshop compared to corel.
