This is the explanation of a secret that Leonardo Da Vinci was trying to hint to in his famous painting, The Last Supper. It's a secret being passed from St. Peter to Mary Magdalene. Is this the true Da Vinci Code?
I mean to be honest we will never quite know, will we? It is what I love about Da Vinci. What is obvious is he was hinting towards something. As if he knew something that we didn't know. I love that even now he has us turning his art every which angle to see what he was trying to express that he probably couldn't voice at the time,it would be believed as heresy. We are still left scratching our heads trying to decode his masterpieces after all this time which is a true testament to his genius.
@JudePal Who says? Leonardo Da Vinci's artwork is loaded with gnostic innuendo. Just look at the Madonna of the Rocks, The Virgin and Child with St Anne and St John the Baptist, and The Holy Infants Embracing. Even the famous Mona Lisa is dual sided, representing both male and female sides. His painting of St. John the Baptist shows the famillar pose set in this painting with that famous up to the sky gesture cluing you in that the person next to Jesus is not John. .
Looking at this from not only a biblical view of The Last Supper, but also a gnostic one such as The Dead Sea Scrolls I think there is more to this then just the Judas betrayal. If that is in fact Mary Magdalene, which I am willing to bet anything it is then the knife may be hinting something entirely different. There is substantial evidence in The Pistis Sophia, in Mary Magdalene's gospel and in the bible that St.Peter didn't think much of Mary. It could be hinting that he killed her.
hate to be simplistic, but, ever thought Leonardo might be expressing his OWN life in his paintings. He was 17+ years in the court of Milan with half a dozen unhappily married females, 1 kept having babies even after her husband died ... hmmm. Leonard was said to be exceptionally good looking - a Rock Star. Person #6 looks like Isabella of Aragon, 11th person like Salai, 2nd &12th looks like Leonardo, 7 Lodivico ... = complicated love story. knife = female w deadbeat dad controvery.FFT

@JudePal I referenced the Dead Sea Scrolls because of what is referred to as gnostic gospels such as The Gospel of Thomas and The Gospel of Mary.

@miloman51 What verses exactly?

@Watchtower000 The dead Sea scrolls are from a Qumranic society that predated the time of Christ. They in fact make no reference to him at all.
