The MacLachlan Castle (High Quality)

I took a trip to the Old MacLachlan castle, in Scotland. This video shows the journey to the castle, Loch Eck and a wander around the castle remains. The video was made mainly as a personal reminder of Scotland, before I leave the country for a while. And to have a small piece of Scotland to show to the people I meet. I hoped to show some very Scottish scenery and weather.

I think it's best to watch it in high quality, because the landscapes don't come out so well in normal quality. And please note that this is my first editted video. Thanks!

@Guyak1 Thank you for the lovely comment! Yeah, I've not been in the area for nearly two years and really starting to miss "home", weather included. In fact, I think I miss the weather and Scottish seas most!

my dads name is robert mclachlan so is mine wen my grandparents came to amrica thay had the A took out of maclachlan to mclachlan to make it sond more amrican...we live in florida

This is the land of my Fathers. My name is James Fraser Campbell McLachlan... My Father came from Dunoon and most of his relatives are buried there. I have traced my family back to the 1700's and one of them was at Culloden where many McLachlans died. After the battle the English sailed up Loch Fyne and fired on Castle Lachlan as a punishment. They may have almost destroyed the Castle but we live on. We are one of the oldest clans and a few cannon balls from the English wouldn't put us down!!

@AcesHighVideos Glad to hear that! MacLachlan is not as common as a lot of the other Scottish surnames, but there are fair number of us! Some even famous :P McLachlan and MacLachlan are spelling variations of each other. I'm actually of the McLachlan variety... I just put MacLachlan on the video because a local tourist board wrote it that way!
