I get my first look at Motorola's Xoom tablet at CES. Looking good! Also talk with Sascha Pallenberg, tablet and mobile expert, about other things at CES.

  • Jesus, you know you've done something right when everyone else has to try and "beat" you. Each time a new tablet comes out they can't wait to compare it to the iPad! Keep it up Steve Jobs...you have SOOOO many haters!

  • "...less than 500 bucks"

I wish. I think i saw 800. I am really considering not buying this on principle because of a damn price that big.

If people had the will power to refuse to buy this (or any other overpriced device) flat out no exceptions, Motorola would have to drop the price within days. It could become 500 dollars then, no problem. I wish people would just wait a week–ITS ONLY 7 DAYS–these prices are fucking ridiculous.

  • The tablet is great, but the phone and the notebook/tv idea may be the coolest thing in the video (make sure to watch the whole thing)

  • @inzMBL it will take another 2 years until HTML5 is even close to the popularity of Flash. It doesn't even match the WWC3 standards so far. Not sure what platforms you are using but flash runs perfectly on my HTC Desire with Android 2.2. Maybe it's time for you to update to some recent hardware. Users love to choose instead of habing a manufacturer tell them what they need and what not!

  • Nice interview.

Looks like the white balance was off. May want to adjust that on a white card or for indoor before shooting.

  • Flash is 90% of the internet. It's what brings pages to life. Without you might as well be looking at a magazine.

  • @MrPeanutButterJeIlyT fot what? YouTube content? Flash is slow, crashes browsers, unreliable... and You know that in a short while there's going to be HTML5 standard accross the board? So if someone tells me again, that FLASH is even a reason that Android dev are better... please. Bogus.

  • @inzMBL most of the internet Prehaps?

  • I don't like the salesman... iPad doesn't have flash - FOR A REASON.

    Who needs flash????

  • Go Motorola.

Great discussion with Sascha from netbooknews

"It is a wild world and its all mobile and its just starting". Indeed.
