Rutenfest 2009 Part 1

The " Rutenfest" is yearly before the beginning of the summer holidays a famed traditional pupil and town party in the Super Swabian city Ravensburg. It goes back in his origins till the 14th century. To the origin of the name "Rutenfest" there are different legends. Occasional was liked very much the connection with the medieval plague epidemics. This legend states, from fear of infection the people at that time only with a rod would have given themselves the hand. After the end of the plague they would have celebrated a big celebration and thanks party and would have promised to repeat this every year....
