My cat used to follow me when I went walking. She'd follow so far and then sit down and start crying, at which point I would pick her up and carry her.

There's a jogging cat in my town near a jogging trail. When the owner lets the cat out, the cat will hang out in bushes near the trail. It randomly jogs with joggers for a while, then hides back in the woods, takes a break, and jogs alongside other joggers. It was in the newspaper once after jogging with some friends and I several times while we trained for a footrace.
