Nampa High School Marching Band 2008 - Pandora's Box (DIII)

Nampa High School performs Pandora's Box at District III. They performed very well and took first in all categories except for Auxillary (where they placed third). The categories they took first in include Percussion, Marching, General Effect, and Music. The directors include: Color Guard: Christie Watson, Karin Kimble, Noe Martinez. Percussion: Shad Williams, Ted Carrico. Brass: Bill Thompson, Gage Mefford. Woodwind: Frankie Pineda, Karin Smith. Assistant Director: Oscar Carreno. Director: Dr. Tom Stone. Because of these directors, Nampa has reigned over the District III Marching Band Competition for the past six years. With Music by Key Poulan and Drill Design by Jeff Fackler, Nampa took first place in the 5A Large category as well as taking the overall sweepstakes award. Pandora's Box has proved to be one of their most impressive shows yet.

how and what did you guys get the smoke to come out of the box?

@DullRio We had a ladder inside the box, and our trumpet soloist climbed up to play at that point in the song, the smoke was just a CO2 canister I think..

Were you in the Nampa band when the Vallivue students came up very immature like putting the trophy in our facing pointing and laughing while their director walked by clapping for his band watching them do that to another school. Vallivue won only by a few points to a band director who hasn't even been alive for the amount of years that Dr. Stone was teaching. So I'd say shut the hell up, let nampa enjoy videos of our great years, and take your smart ass somewhere else. Thank you, prick.

@frogg4269 For saying this do you realize how much of a douche bag you sound like? What band are you apart of? I was the drum captain the year we "lost" to vallivue. The year with a brand new director who came from a band with only 40 students. Placing 2nd place is the highest place he had ever been it. Only having 26 set for his largest show, our shows first movement had 30. The people who were crying were our hard working freshmen who thought they were the reason why we lost.

the funny thing about the third movement is the irony of it. in the legend of Pandora's Box everything BUT hope escaped. :) ha.

percussion out of balance, tune the bass drums properly and stop overplaying... it all sounds like flammed bombastic booms. front ensemble could contribute more.

@frogg4269 stfu...you try this 1.get a new band director and keep a 6 year winning streak...the band went form dr.stone who was teaching for like 30 years to mr.hoesing who only has been teaching for two...2.a week before, at treasure valley marching compititon... we beat vallyview, on their feild, with thier judges, and everything... some of the kids where crybabys ill admit...but its not like we threw a tampon at valleyview's bus ""rocky mountain""<--threw tampon at our bus at tresure valleyxD
