  • I'm not necessarily certain that most of these are really "Technical"

You probably got them mixed up with just speed.

Necrophagist on the other hand, yes. They are Technical Death Metal, they are Technical as fuck if I must say.

Nile is a close call, but mainly These songs are just fast and not all technical

  • @Gl4nG3R I think it just depends if you are a strict judge or not. All of these bands are officially technical death metal, the video is not about the 10 most technical bands, only about some that i like a lot. but of course i agree with you, most here are not very technical. you probably dont know spawn of possession well because imo they are the most technical of this video, go check them out.

  • @Tripletblast yeah i was definitely already sold on the old school stuff with death and morbid and atheist, but nihility really got me into the heavy, heavy stuff still one of the most technical albums out there imo.

  • @babykkkyle hell yeah Nihility was probably The album that got me into death metal^^

  • @Bassbait sadly too many people don't actually know about them. But I applaud your true metal take on it assuming they should just know it and if not fuck em. Come to think of it who doesn't know about decapitated? I don't know how I woulda survived age 17 without Nihility lol.

  • Lacks the most underrated Tech Death band - GORGUTS!!!

  • @babykkkyle Everybody knows Death, Atheist and Cynic. It's almost unfair to include them.

  • @fairch14 Cryptopsy is NOTHING like Grindcore. Grindcore is like if Death Metal went all punk oriented and had really terrible production. Cryptopsy is Brutal Death Metal and Tech Death Metal. Listen to the album "Once was Not" and it's relentlessly technical. If you don't like Nile, just listen to "Execration Text" and "Cast down the Heretic", otherwise there's no hope for you... joking, but still, listen to those songs.

  • @Gl4nG3R I agree with you on Nile. I can't get into them for some reason and I'm in love with Necrophagist. What does that tell ya? SoP is Tech for sure and so is Psycroptic. Cryptopsy is considered "grind core" I think, but they are sick and definitely have tech moments. I'm wondering where Muhammad from Necro is, is he alive!!! I'm dying over here

  • @dawodaw Do you know what a period is?

  • Names and Phobophile ! ! !
