You should use iShowu, it records what is on your screen instead of you having to use a video camera

In the past I tried a couple screen captures with snapzprox and it bogged down the system considerably. Ever since then I have been weary of any type of screen capture software and that's the primary reason why I use my Canon Powershot to do all the videos.

a little off topic, but say apple gives you an 80 GB hard drive in a macbook. does that mean you have 80gb worth of free space? all the apps that come with the mac, is that counted into the 80?

80 GB is a RAW unformatted capacity with nothing installed on the hard drive. After applications and OS, usable space will be something like 70 GB.
