  • jezus christ did anyone noticed on their website these engines start at 40.000dollar to 70.000dollar?!!? fucking hell,

  • I appreciate the honest viewpoints. Through those we are able to grow. That is a relatively common response upon first glance. In our field of custom/individualized engines, it is next to impossible to truly show all that we do on the site. We are working on making it better and showing that we do more than the King of the Hill high dollars engines. Under "current ads" you will see our ProCharged Crate engines some of which are under 10K and still making good power. Keep the feedback coming. :)

  • Update- I have had lots of questions about what this engine is going in etc.. and thought I would post some updated info. This engine is currently in our shop being upgraded to a Big Stuff 3, bigger blower...bigger and badder all-around basically. With the upgrades should be in the 2100-2300 horsepower range. Updated dyno video will be posted up soon. This is going into a '57 Chevy Pro-Mod/Quick 8 type of car. Happy New Year from SMRE!

  • are you on drugs? Do you have ANY experience with alky at all? I didn't think so...Only downside is twice the volume is needed versus gas...runs much cooler than gas moron.

  • Um. Am I wrong to say that steve morries quit working at steve morris racing engines...?

  • @poopalarge partially due to cam but the blower is also responsible.

  • It doesnt seem to idle nicely, is that cam related?

  • @ollonsvin I bet your 14cc nitro vibrator makes more HP/L... It needs to after all those gang bang sessions have loosened you up!!!

It'll cost you less to get 1400hp out of a BBC than a 2 litre 4 cyl engine at 12,000rpm and 85 psi.

In terms of cost to increase hp on a combustion engine.

1)Turbo Highest cost, highest hp,least throttle control

2)Supercharge Less cost, less power more control

3)Nitrous Oxide Good power, cheapest, bottle runs out quickly

4)Head, cams, Intake stroke Expensive $/HP

  • I have an Engine that is of hell of a lot cheaper the 10K or 70K or even 6K and it puts about 1,000HP... Mega Squirt Tunning system and everything. Engine is solid as hell. We run at about 5LB of boost... will increase to 15LB of boost soon.. Will reach well over 1K HP... Point is what is the point of spending 70K on an Engine....If you do that do it yourself, unless you got money to waste,

  • @ollonsvin your a fuckin moron

  • 550 lb/hr injectors? my god!

  • gotta pay top dollar if you wnt a good reliable engine !! looks like you guys turn out a great enigne!!

  • @ollonsvin its making 1400hp how is that not impressive?

  • @ollonsvin Yeah, but Fiat’s don’t pick up 3000lb racecars and hurl them through the ¼ mile in 8 secs or less. Come on, are you seriously talking about HP/L in the face of 1400HP? A dirt bike has a high HP/L, a weedwhacker has a high HP/L a tiny freken nitro model airplane has high HP/L but they don’t make 1400HP do they?
