PWI - The Post-Mortem

Couldn't help myself I guess. Had to give a eulogy for the dearly departed.
Looks like the "game-is-dead" folks were right after all.

Filmed mostly from Lord of the Rings Online.
Though not completely unspoiled by the move to F2P, LotRO's gameplay and depth is vastly superior. Turbine's developers are relatively in touch with the community, and continually put out solid updates with very few bugs (which, so far, are patched very quickly).

They're not perfect, and I won't claim Rings is F2P utopia, but it's leagues above anything PWE has delivered.

You go wherever you wish - or remain in PWI if it pleases you. "Game is dead" isn't meant to be taken as the servers literally shutting down. It simply means there's no purpose to playing the game, since every goal has been circumvented by immediate-gratification boutique items. But consider: JD, BOI, and PWI are all run by PWE, and all plagued by the same problems. I'd find a different developer first, and go from there...

Id love to throw PWI out the window and play Lotro, accept i would much rather play a game with territory system. I enjoy conquering people and forcing them under my will.. (THAT SOUNDS WORSE THAN I MeAN IT TO BE) know any good MMORPGs with war for map pieces like PWI
