music and skateboarding have been feeding off of each other since the beginning of skateboarding. They influence each other equally. Its healthy for skateboarding to have so many different genres because if it didn't we would all look the same. if hip hop didn't influence skating, stevie williams would be wearing tight pants right now. and if skateboarding didn't influence hip hop, rappers would still be wearing spandex like in the 80's. same with rock. you dont have to like it, just tolerate it

hip hop has nothing to do with the companies, its all about skating, they just use hip hop in there junk, its not like they make record deals or anything like that
