Vivian Williams, fiddle, and Phil Williams, banjo, play a square dance version of "Old Joe Clark." Phil is playing one of his mid-19th century gut strung fretless banjos that probably got to the Pacific Northwest over the Oregon Trail. The fiddle and banjo were the primary dance instruments of the Oregon Trail for its first twenty years. Recorded at a house concert in Bow, Washington
