Jimmy James singing LIVE! "I've Got A Crush On You." The Nancy Merrill Show was an early morning talk show in Boston, MA. This performance was Jimmy's idea. All of the producers were nervous over the draping of the pink satin. This was shot in only 2 takes. It almost didn't make it on air due to the fact that a 'man' was doing this and was looking so much like a woman.
It seemed to confuse everyone involved.
James retired from performing as Marilyn in 1997.

He still performs his show of 'Voices' and his own music. He is currently enjoying the success of a self-penned world-wide hit called "Fashionista" from the album 'Jamestown.' The song is heard in Dance Clubs and fashion shows around the world.

This is one of my favorite TV appearances. When the producers of the local Boston TV show called me in NYC, I was very exhausted from touring. I told them I would do the show only if I could do it NUDE. There was silence on the phone but I explained it to them and they got it ok'd. I told them the only thing I was bringing to wear would be nude Ferragamo pumps. I don't know if MM ever sang this song, I took artistic license.

Jimmy, you are absolutely amazing!! I've been a Marilyn fan for over 25 years and I was captivated when I first saw you on the Donahue Show back in 1987. I still have it on video cassette and have watched it many times. I've been checking out some of your MM performances on YouTube. I love them all and this one tops the lot.
