  • beautiful

  • Wait until you see the Twin Screw tug Portwey.Built in 1927 and still going strong-still coal fired.

  • nice

  • What I wouldn't give to sail on a ship like that. What a beautiful piece of machinery!

  • @WhyAyeMann "Bussard" served as a buoy-tender from 1905 till the 1970s, therefore the big crane on her foredeck. She was decommissioned and moored at the local maritime museum. Sadly they cut the prop off and welded the sterntube tight. After many years the idea took shape to steam her up again. Parts of the propshaft had to be rebuilt, which was very costly. Boiler and triple-expansion engine are still the original ones.

She is steamed up regularly in summer.
