10.04,yeah right, investment,it means that the govt is actually interested only when it comes to people who has money to invest, yet when some,oh,i might say most overseas worker need help from any phil representative, they cannot do as much as they think they do.

and by the way,its hard for me say these but in philippines, everything work faster and accurate if its illegal, which means theres a money envolve..shameful,but thats the ugly truth!

This civil servant is getting fatter because they just set on there offices waiting for there monthly salaries. I dont think majority of them does something positive for the country. most of them have government jobs because of there connections.

The OFW problem is something that has roots going back to the 80's. Good that these workers remit millions to their families. Bad because the country has been too much dependent on them, so dependent that it didn't bother shaping up the economy and itself as a nation. What's worse is that it can't help those who have been abused.

This is at such incredible cost:(

Whole families, cultures and communities destroyed to provide the basic necessities of survival.

These people aren't going through employment abuse to send money back for a playstation or governmental waste--they're trying to save their families.

The professor is right. That government needs to support and increase the domestic economy.

The gov't has had *years* to use this extra income to improve the infrastructure.
